POPULAR MEDICAL COLLEGE

Popular Medical College (PMC), established in 2010, is a private medical institution located in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Affiliated with the University of Dhaka, PMC offers a comprehensive five-year Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program, followed by a mandatory one-year internship. The program is intended to give students a strong grounding in medical sciences, clinical abilities, and ethical standards.

PMC's MBBS program is approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) and the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India. The college is associated with Popular Medical College Hospital, a 250-bed multispecialty facility located approximately 250 meters from the college campus. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency, outpatient, and inpatient services, offering world-class treatment facilities and cost-effective solutions. This affiliation offers students extensive clinical exposure and hands-on training in various medical specialties.

Admission Process:

Admission to PMC is competitive, with candidates selected based on their academic performance and entrance examination results. Aspiring students need to satisfy the requirements established by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and the University of Dhaka. The application process involves submitting transcripts, passport copies, and other necessary documents, followed by an entrance examination.
